Morning Trackwork reflects the connection with my late father, Max Lees, a respected horse trainer who passed away when I was young. The abstract forms capture the energy of early mornings at the track and the bond between horse, jockey, and trainer. Through this series, I’ve become more immersed in racing than probably before. Each stroke reconnects me to those memories and keeps my father’s legacy alive, revealing the lasting impact he still has on me today.
