After four months away this year, I returned to Sydney winter to find a city struggling with isolation and stress. I yearned for warmer days, clear skies, and open schedules. Through layers of oil, I aimed to capture the glow of summer spent by the ocean—when sunlight filters through waves and colours merge. 'Some Summers' reflects anticipation for the upcoming season, one that rejuvenates our vibrant coastal communities and rekindles our connection to nature and each other.
