POLYCENTRIC INTERSECTION
TIMBER BASE, CONCRETE COLUMNS AND PAINTED STEEL BAR I 54 x 23 x 11cm I 2024
The sculpture was made in response to polycentrism, an architectural concept of the ‘inbetween space’. Polycentrism is defined through the many centres an object possesses, which can be interpreted depending upon an individual and their approach. Its minimal form can be influenced by its surrounds and the viewer, where its particulars (sculptural components) create a scene and association, thus a true point of connection within space.
