My painting ‘Birdie Lagoon’ is influenced by a camping trip I took to the Munmorah State Conservation Area in early 2024. The unique coastal landscape of Eastern NSW inspired me to create a series of intuitive collages that captured my visceral response to the environment in simplified, abstract forms. These collages then became the basis for a series of larger paintings on canvas.
