I GAVE YOU MY HAND, MY HEART, MY TEETH, MY EYES.... IT WASN'T ENOUGH

This work continues my exploration into historical hairwork ,symbolism and humans desire for expressions of loss , grief and mortality. I have used my own hair to create flocking and my child’s tooth. Eyes, hands and tears have been used throughout history to represent emotions and feelings in an economical and universal language.

I have also added collage and embroidery as a means to embed the work into the female canon.

This work encapsulates my love of history and discovery.
