THE SUN IS FRIENDS WITH THE MOON

“Did you know the sun is friends with the moon?” The excerpt from the journal of my niece, that inspired the creation of this artwork. I found the simple statement to be both beautiful, and heart achingly naive. We are surrounded by systems of oppression, segregation and discrimination, the world needs to listen to the voices of our children and their certain knowledge we are all equal and connected in our humanity, even if our reflections are different.
