When the dust settles you truly appreciate the person you have become. This piece is an expression of the tumultuous early years of becoming a parent and how it shaped and distilled my priorities with a focus that cut through the chaos. The reordering of time awakened me to its scarcity and preciousness, which heightened my focus on family, but in turn made clear who I want to be, with what is left. Leaving a fire in my belly and an ability to strip away the fear and self-imposed limitations.
