French composer Georges Bizet (1838-1875) wrote “Games of children” to evoke childhood memories and the suite of twelve miniatures have titles of games like “Spinning Top” and “Leap Frog”. The music is vivacious and full of chromatic changes. Listening to the music, familiar to the artist since childhood, Le Goff has painted ultramarine rhythms spiralling up and down a yellow canvas, inducing a sense of joy.
