These three coolamon artworks, are presented empty, representing the Invisible Load…the burdens and coping mechanisms people don’t see, or choose not to.

In Aboriginal culture, coolamons are used by women as a multipurpose carrying vessel, holding items such as food and water and even our babies!

I hope this body of work provides the viewers with an opportunity to feel a connection as we often suffer and cope in silence.
